NILDS DG Slams ADC Defection Claims as “Baseless Fabrication”
Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), has categorically denied rumors of his planned defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a sharp rebuttal, he dismissed the reports as “false, baseless, and politically motivated.”
Through his media aide, Mohammad AbdulKadir, Sulaiman issued a firm statement:
“Let me be clear: I have not left the APC, nor do I have any intention of joining the ADC or any other party.”
He condemned the speculation as “pure fabrication” and accused unnamed political actors of spreading misinformation to tarnish his reputation.
“This is a deliberate attempt to sow confusion where none exists.”

Reaffirming his allegiance, Sulaiman stressed his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I am a proud APC member, fully dedicated to the President’s transformative agenda for Nigeria.”
He also expressed strong support for Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, stating:
“Governor Abdulrazaq’s leadership aligns with my principles, and I stand firmly behind his vision for Kwara.”
Emphasizing his current priorities, Sulaiman added:
“My focus remains on serving Nigeria through my role at NILDS with integrity and excellence.”
He urged the public to disregard the false reports and rely only on credible sources for accurate information.
