Actress Kenny George has publicly expressed support for her colleague Toyin Abraham following fresh online criticism linked to comments by Abraham’s former protégé Abike Shugaa.
In a post shared on Instagram, George described Abraham as her everyday crush and praised her talent and dedication to her craft. She acknowledged how tough it can be to deal with social media reactions and urged Abraham to remember that the opinions of a few people do not define her worth.
George noted that Abraham’s passion and hard work are evident in everything she does. She added that the actress has a large and supportive audience that continues to appreciate her, encouraging her to keep her head up and stay focused.
Her message came shortly after content creator and influencer Abike Shugaa, also known as Pelumi Olawuni, released a detailed video about her past working relationship with Abraham. Shugaa claimed their mentorship started well but later broke down, raising issues about her roles in Abraham’s movie projects, including alleged unpaid work and scenes removed from the final cut of Ijakumo.
Toyin Abraham has since responded to the viral claims. She denied some of the allegations and clarified aspects of their professional dealings, offering her own account of how their relationship evolved and eventually became strained.
