Blakk Rasta Says He Nearly Left Ghana Over NPP Victory Fears.

Ghanaian musician and radio personality Blakk Rasta revealed that he had plans to leave the country if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had won the 2024 elections. Speaking on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, he explained that he was frustrated with the state of governance under the NPP and had already begun preparing for a potential move.

Blakk Rasta disclosed that a month before the elections, he traveled to countries like Jamaica and the United States to explore his relocation options. He likened his stance to that of Nigerian writer Wole Soyinka, who once vowed to destroy his U.S. passport if Donald Trump won the presidency.

The musician described the NPP’s leadership as having brought hardship to Ghanaians and said the change in government was necessary for the country to move forward. Blakk Rasta urged Ghanaians to demand better leadership to avoid similar frustrations in the future.
