The office of President-elect John Dramani Mahama has refuted a viral list on social media alleging to reveal appointees for his upcoming administration.
In a statement issued on December 16, 2024, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Mahama’s Special Aide, labeled the list as “false and unauthorized.” She urged the public to rely only on official announcements from the President-elect’s office.
The statement emphasized that no official appointments have been made, aside from a 10-member Transition Team led by Julius Debrah, tasked with ensuring a smooth transfer of power under Ghana’s Presidential Transition Act.
Ghanaians have been advised to disregard unverified information and await updates directly from Mahama’s office.
