Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has shown generosity during a visit to Kumasi by donating GH₵ 20,000 to a 19-year-old artist, Priscilla, to fund her university education.
In a video shared by his manager Sammy Flex, the musician was touched after receiving a portrait of himself painted by Priscilla. Learning that she had been unable to further her studies due to financial challenges, Shatta Wale made the donation and handed it directly to Priscilla’s mother, emphasizing its purpose.
Priscilla’s mother, who has struggled financially since losing her husband three years ago, expressed heartfelt gratitude. Shatta’s manager also advised the family to use the funds solely for education.
This act of kindness follows Shatta Wale’s recent efforts to uplift emerging talents through initiatives like the Accra Invasion Project.
