

Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, has sadly passed away after a brief illness on April 6, 2025. His death was confirmed by Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who expressed deep sorrow over the loss. Gyamfi took to Facebook to mourn, calling Yalley “a great man” who dedicated himself to the cause of the NDC.
Yalley was a well-respected lawyer, diplomat, and public servant, holding several prominent positions throughout his career. He served as the Deputy CEO of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority before being appointed as Ghana’s Ambassador to India in 2014 by then-President John Dramani Mahama.
His passing marks the end of a distinguished career dedicated to public service and diplomacy. He will be remembered fondly for his contributions to both the NDC and the nation.
