A tragic accident on the Akyem Boadua road in the Eastern Region has left eight people dead and six others injured.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 7, 2025, when a vehicle traveling from Kade to Accra lost control and somersaulted due to high speed and poor visibility caused by the bushy road.
Five passengers died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The driver, who ignored passengers’ pleas to slow down, fled the scene after the accident.
Authorities are investigating the incident, and road safety officials continue to warn against reckless driving to curb rising accidents.
