Road Closures in Accra for Ghana’s 68th Independence Day Celebration

The Ghana Police Service has announced temporary road closures in Accra as part of security measures for the country’s 68th Independence Day celebrations at the Jubilee House.

According to a statement from ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, several roads, including Liberation Road at Opeibea Intersection and Independence Avenue at Ako-Adjei Bypass, will be blocked to vehicular traffic until the event concludes.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, such as the Airport Bypass and Ring Road Central, to avoid congestion. The police will deploy traffic officers and towing services to ensure smooth traffic flow and remove any abandoned vehicles.

The public is urged to cooperate with security officials and plan their routes accordingly to minimize disruptions during the celebrations.
