Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has suspended the acceptance of fresh bodies and Brought-in-Dead (BID) cases for six weeks to refurbish its mortuary facilities. The hospital has urged families with bodies stored for over three weeks to arrange for burial or transfer to alternative facilities. The renovation aims to improve service delivery by upgrading the 600-capacity cold room. Korle Bu’s management has assured that the cold room will remain functional but restricted to cases originating from the hospital itself. The hospital has apologized for any inconvenience and called for public cooperation.
