Melchizedek Adio Baafawiise, a 13-year-old prodigy, has become one of the youngest students ever to enroll at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Scoring A1 in five subjects, including Physics and Mathematics, in his WASSCE, Melchizedek is now pursuing a degree in Physics, with a particular passion for Mechanics.
Although he once dreamed of becoming a pilot, he chose to delve deeper into Physics to uncover his true passion. He plans to decide between Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering as his career path by his third or fourth year.
Coming from a family of educators, Melchizedek initially felt overwhelmed skipping Forms 2 and 3, but he quickly adjusted to university life and enjoys being among his older peers.
