I don’t need a siren as MP – John Dumelo.

John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has taken a firm stance against the use of sirens by MPs for official duties. In a video circulating online, Dumelo stated that while sirens may ease transportation for some MPs, he does not see the need for them in his work.

Referring to comments by fellow MP Kwame Obeng Asare, popularly known as A Plus, Dumelo clarified his personal view: “A Plus says we need sirens, maybe that’s his opinion, but personally, I don’t think I need a siren.”

The debate over MPs using sirens has been ongoing, with proponents arguing it enhances efficiency, while critics believe it’s unnecessary and disruptive. Dumelo, however, emphasized his disagreement with the practice, noting it is a personal choice.

This issue continues to divide opinions, with MPs and citizens offering varying perspectives on the matter.
