Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Freddie Blay, has expressed surprise at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for pursuing additional parliamentary seats despite already securing over 180 seats in the 2024 elections. Speaking on Joy FM on December 24, 2024, Blay cautioned that such actions could heighten political tensions and undermine Ghana’s democratic principles.
He emphasized the need to respect legal processes and Electoral Commission rulings, warning of potential chaos if due process is disregarded. Blay urged the NDC to prioritize stability over contesting further seats, highlighting the importance of preserving Ghana’s democratic institutions.
