Content creator Cute Abiola has appreciated supporters who stood by him following backlash over a personal documentary about his wife’s childbirth experience.
In a post on X, he said he was overwhelmed by the emotional messages, prayers and personal testimonies people shared in the YouTube comment section after watching the video. He noted that beyond the criticism, many viewers opened up about their own struggles, expressing solidarity, resilience and empathy.
Rather than respond to detractors, Abiola chose to focus on the documentary’s positive impact, saying he was glad the story had motivated people going through difficult times. According to him, life is not always perfect, but being vulnerable and honest can give hope to others facing similar challenges.
“Since yesterday, when I shared our documentary, I have been reading through the comments on YouTube… and honestly, I am overwhelmed. So many emotional messages, so many prayers, so many people sharing their own stories. I saw strength, love, and humanity in the comment section, and I felt the need to share some of them here. I am glad I shared this journey. I am glad I was vulnerable. And most importantly, I am glad this story has motivated someone out there who might be going through a difficult time. Life is not always perfect, but sometimes sharing our struggles gives hope to others,” he wrote.
He thanked everyone who watched, prayed, supported and sent kind words, saying his family truly appreciates the love. The documentary captures raw, emotional moments as his wife, Khurat, underwent her third Caesarean section in four years for the safe delivery of their second child.
While many viewers praised the couple’s faith and openness, others criticised the decision to publicly share such intimate medical and family moments, sparking debate about privacy and boundaries in content creation. The couple welcomed their newborn earlier this month.
