Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has called on his teammates to “give everything” as Nigeria take on DR Congo in a decisive World Cup qualifying playoff final in Rabat. Chukwueze, one of Nigeria’s standout performers in the thrilling 4-1 extra-time win over Gabon, said the squad’s togetherness and “family bond” will be key to overcoming this final hurdle.
“This team is a family. We stay together, fight for each other, and push each other. That is why we won against Gabon. We know what the World Cup means to Nigerians—we must qualify, it’s not negotiable. We want to give our people back home joy,” Chukwueze said.
He praised Victor Osimhen, Akor Adams, and Chidera Ejuke for their contributions and also saluted the defensive efforts of William Troost-Ekong and young defender Benjamin Frederick. Looking ahead, Chukwueze insisted, “We’ll fight from the first whistle to the last. Keep believing in us. We will give everything. We want to fly the Super Eagles into the World Cup again”
