The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has announced that Bolanle Austen-Peters (BAP), acclaimed theatre and film producer, will deliver the keynote address at the 5th Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigerian Digital Content Regulatory Conference (PAO NDCRC).
The two-day conference will hold on November 18–19, 2025, at the MUSON Centre, Lagos, with the theme: “From Volume to Value: Future of Nollywood in the Digital Age.”
About the conference
The PAO NDCRC, named in honour of the late Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, has become a national platform for dialogue on film regulation, digital content, and Nollywood’s future. This year’s edition will explore strategies for improving content quality, ensuring sustainability, and building value-driven creative outputs in a digital-first era.
Why Austen-Peters
Described as the “Queen of Nigerian Theatre,” Austen-Peters is the founder of Terra Kulture and BAP Productions. She has produced iconic stage works such as Saro the Musical and Fela & the Kalakuta Queens, alongside films like The Bling Lagosians and Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti.
Her productions have toured internationally, earning recognition for elevating African storytelling and promoting Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
Dr. Shaibu Husseini, NFVCB Executive Director, said Austen-Peters embodies the mix of creativity, innovation, and business acumen Nollywood needs in the digital age.
