Hard Drives With Beyoncé’s Unreleased Music Stolen in Atlanta
A theft in Atlanta, United States , has left global music icon Beyoncé’s team in shock after hard drives containing unreleased songs, show footage, and set lists were stolen from a rental car.
The incident happened on Monday, July 8 , just two days before Beyoncé was set to begin the Atlanta leg of her Cowboy Carter Tour , named after her 2025 Grammy-winning album .
The car belonged to Christopher Grant , Beyoncé’s choreographer, who reported the theft to police.
“I returned to my car and found the rear window broken. All my luggage was gone.”
Among the stolen items:
- Apple MacBooks
- Headphones
- Luxury clothing
- Hard drives with watermarked unreleased music , show plans , and set lists for past and future performances
Police Identify Suspect But Thief Remains at Large
Authorities in Atlanta have confirmed the case and said they have identified a suspect , issuing a warrant in the process.
However, the suspect is still on the run , with no recovery of the stolen items as of now.
The drives contained sensitive materials that could leak unreleased Beyoncé music and performance secrets to the public if not recovered soon.
“This is more than just stolen gear—it’s a breach of creative control,” said one music industry insider.
Beyoncé’s Team Hit By Theft Days Before Tour Date
The Cowboy Carter Tour , which Beyoncé launched on April 28, 2025 , is one of the most anticipated global tours this year.
She is set to wrap the tour on July 26 , making the loss of show plans and unreleased music a major setback for her team.
The theft happened during a stop in Atlanta, where Beyoncé was scheduled to perform on July 10 .
Fans and critics are now concerned about how this affects the show, while some are calling for tighter security around artists’ creative assets.
