The suspension means Flick will be banned from the touchline for the upcoming “El Clásico” against rivals Real Madrid. Reflecting on the incident, Flick acknowledged that he has become more emotionally expressive since joining Barcelona.
He told reporters, “I don’t like seeing myself in this state on television… I probably have to change my behaviour.” Despite some club officials criticizing the referee, Flick took a conciliatory tone, stating he has to accept the official’s decision.

In a circular sent to fuel marketers on Monday, the refinery said the adjustment follows the de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East, which had affected energy prices over the past three months. The refinery also lowered its coastal price per metric tonne from N1,595,790 to N1,495,215. Both the new gantry and coastal rates will take effect from midnight on June 16, 2026.
