Arsenal have officially unveiled three new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season, strengthening their squad under manager Mikel Arteta as they prepare to compete for Premier League and Champions League honors.
The Gunners have secured midfielder Noni Madueke from Chelsea in a £52 million deal, with the winger signing a long-term contract after being granted leave of absence from the Blues’ Club World Cup final to undergo his medical. Madueke, who will provide back-up for Bukayo Saka on the right wing, previously spent time on loan at Arsenal during the 2024/25 season.
Swedish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga joins from Chelsea in a £5 million deal, replacing David Raya as the first-choice goalkeeper. The 28-year-old Spanish international signed a five-year contract and is expected to provide competition for Arteta’s preferred number one.
Defender Martin Zubimendi arrives from Real Sociedad for £55 million, bolstering Arsenal’s midfield defensive options alongside Declan Rice. The Spanish midfielder brings experience in La Liga and Champions League competition, having made over 150 appearances for the Basque club.
The three signings represent a combined investment of approximately £117 million, with goalkeeper Noni Madueke (not Kepa), Viktor Gyökerac, and Christian Muscera reported as the primary targets in Arteta’s transfer strategy.
Arsenal’s transfer activity comes after their Champions League final run in 2025/26, with David Raya, Gabriel, and Declan Rice all earning places in UEFA’s Champions League Team of the Season. The additions address Arteta’s stated need for squad depth as the Gunners compete across multiple competitions.

Speaking to US lawmakers on Tuesday, Rubio said Khamenei remains involved in Iran’s leadership apparatus even as the country’s conventional military shield has been substantially eroded by US-Israeli strikes. He added that Iran still retains a large number of drones despite the damage to its defence capabilities. The revelation comes amid growing uncertainty over Khamenei’s status after he made no public appearance for nearly six weeks following his appointment as Iran’s supreme leader in March 2026 after his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in US-Israeli strikes.
