Akwaamaka Music has officially launched a state-of-the-art music, photography, and content creation studio in Festac Town, Lagos. The new facility, established by the company’s CEO, High Chief Stanley Obodoagwu, aims to transform Nigeria’s creative landscape by providing top-tier production infrastructure for artists and creators.

The grand opening attracted several Nollywood stars, entertainment professionals, and media personalities. Among the attendees were veteran actors Chinedu Ikedieze, Uche Elendu, and Grace Ama, who joined industry figures to celebrate the milestone.

Akwaamaka Music, founded by High Chief Obodoagwu, is a record label and entertainment company focused on discovering, nurturing, and promoting exceptional African talent. With the launch of Akwaamaka Studio, the company extends its mission to support the broader creative community through cutting-edge facilities.

Speaking at the event, Obodoagwu said the inspiration for the new venture came from a desire to fill a gap in Nigeria’s entertainment infrastructure. “I have visited many studios across Lagos and noticed a lack of globally competitive standards,” he said. “Akwaamaka Studio was created to change that. It’s a multipurpose hub designed for filmmakers, music producers, recording artists, and content creators seeking world-class quality.”

The event featured an exciting performance by Akwaamaka Music’s rising artist, Spenta (Kingsley Ifeanyi Adaoje), who thrilled guests with songs from his latest EP, Roll My Dice.

Chinedu Ikedieze praised the new facility, describing it as a major step forward for Nigeria’s entertainment industry. “This is a game changer,” he said. “You can shoot an entire movie in one location here. The quality, the design, the nature-inspired sets—everything is on another level.”

Actress Uche Elendu also commended the initiative, calling it a “one-stop shop for high-quality production” that will help nurture the next generation of creative talent in Lagos and beyond.

Now fully operational, Akwaamaka Studio offers advanced technology and a professional environment for music recording, film production, photography, and digital content creation, setting a new benchmark for creativity in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Debate has intensified over Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle’s growing reliance on foreign born players of Nigerian descent, with many asking if his diaspora recruitment drive is a smart strategy or a lazy shortcut.
