President John Dramani Mahama has called for the implementation of sound economic policies aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant business climate in Ghana.

In a Facebook post reflecting on his experience during the recent Kwahu Easter celebrations, Mahama praised the energy and commitment of local business leaders, describing them as key drivers of economic growth.

He expressed gratitude to the business community in Kwahu — particularly CEOs, business executives, and financial sector leaders — for their relentless efforts to boost the local economy.

Mahama stressed the need for practical policies that unlock opportunities and translate the hard work of entrepreneurs into lasting success.

He reaffirmed his commitment to “reset Ghana” by creating a more supportive environment for businesses to thrive, adding that entrepreneurship must remain central to the country’s economic transformation.

Volta Regional Police intercept ammunition bound for Benin

The Volta Regional Police Command has intercepted a large cache of ammunition on a commercial bus bound for Benin. Kwahu Easter: Four arrested for various offenses – Eastern North Police

Four individuals have been arrested by the Eastern North Police for committing various offenses during this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations. Thousands of revelers from across Ghana and beyond thronged the Kwahu area to participate in the popular Easter festivities. 500,000 Ghanaians living with HIV – Ghana AIDS Commission urges safe practices

The Ghana AIDS Commission has revealed that over 500,000 people in Ghana are currently living with HIV/AIDS, emphasizing the ongoing challenge the country faces in fighting the disease. POLICE ARREST 10 SUSPECTS FOR ILLEGAL MINING ALONG THE ABOI FOREST NEAR SAMREBOI

The Ghana Police Service in a special intelligence operation conducted yesterday, 18th April, 2025 arrested 10 suspects for illegal mining activities in the Aboi forest, near Samreboi in the Western region.Eleven (11) escavators and one (1) bulldozer which were found at the site, have been impounded and efforts are underway to get them removed from the forest into safe custody.In a similar operation on 17th April, 2025, the Police team arrested 29 suspects including 21 Ghanaians and 8 Chinese in the Subri forest and along the Tano river.
