- Data governance: Building frameworks to ensure ethical AI development and cross-border collaboration.
- Entrepreneurship: Empowering startups to drive AI-driven solutions in sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and finance.
President Gnassingbé’s participation underscored Togo’s proactive stance. “The Head of State’s presence reflects Togo’s commitment to integrating AI responsibly, prioritizing youth employment and inclusivity,” stated the Togolese Ministry of Finance.

- Novissi: A data-driven cash-transfer program launched during the pandemic, showcasing AI’s potential for social protection.
- Data Lab & House of AI: Hubs fostering innovation and training for local tech talent.
- National AI Strategy: A comprehensive plan nearing completion to align policies, infrastructure, and investments.
These initiatives align with Togo’s goal to become a sub-regional digital hub, leveraging AI to boost its economy and attract tech partnerships.
