Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of using his influence to intimidate her family. She claimed that two of her siblings were arrested and that her younger sister might be next if she refuses his demand to return to what he calls “rehab.”
The 24-year-old actress made the allegations on her Instagram Story, expressing fear and frustration over the situation. “Someone please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind. My big brother and big sister have been arrested, and my baby sister might be arrested soon until I return to rehab,” she wrote.
Daniels criticized Nwoko for allegedly calling her a drug addict and using his connections to target her family. “Imagine the Nigerian police beating up my brother like a criminal. Ned, you have power, connections and money right? Wild for you to think I have none,” she added.
Married in 2019, Daniels and Nwoko share two sons. Their relationship, once seen as stable, has recently come under public scrutiny following a series of online exchanges.
Last week, Nwoko accused Daniels of substance abuse and claimed her “emotional outburst” was linked to drug use. He suggested she needed rehabilitation. In response, Daniels dismissed the claims with sarcasm, writing, “You said I’m a drug addict, me I use am rub body sir!”
The actress said she had tried to stay silent for the sake of her children but could no longer do so. “My sons and family are the biggest challenge of my life but I will overcome and give them what they truly deserve,” she wrote.
Her allegations have sparked a wave of reactions online. Some fans sympathized with her, while others urged both parties to handle the matter privately.
Observers had already speculated about trouble in their marriage after Daniels appeared without her wedding ring and removed her husband’s name from her social media profiles.
Nwoko, 64, and Daniels have long been a subject of public interest due to their 40-year age difference and his polygamous lifestyle. Although their marriage began amid controversy, it had appeared peaceful until recent weeks.
The new claims about her siblings’ arrests have raised questions about the couple’s relationship. As of this report, neither the police nor Nwoko has publicly responded to Daniels’ allegations.
For now, the actress remains in the spotlight as her once glamorous personal life becomes a matter of public debate.
