APC Leaders Warn Makinde Against Reckless Spending
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the outer city zones of Ibadanland, Oyo State , have called out Governor Seyi Makinde over what they describe as excessive and wasteful spending .

“Oyo State cannot be said to be rich,” the communique read.
They highlighted the state’s current debt profile of ₦500 billion , saying continued spending without planning threatens future stability.
“We get huge allocations due to fuel subsidy removal, but we fail to save for the rainy day.”
They urged the governor to focus on essential services, job creation , and debt reduction , rather than high-cost vanity projects.
