Opposition Coalition Submits ADA Party Registration to INEC
Leaders of the Nigerian National Coalition Group have taken a major step toward the 2027 general elections by adopting the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) as their political platform.
On June 19, 2025 , they submitted an official application to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the full registration of ADA as a political party.
The document was co-signed by:
- Chief Akin Ricketts , National Chairman of ADA
- Abdullahi Musa Elayo , Protem National Secretary
It was received by INEC on June 20, 2025 , and titled:
“Application for Registration as a Political Party”
ADA Is Now the Face of the Opposition Coalition
The letter stated that the move follows a strategic decision by the Coalition Movement to use ADA as its registered party for the 2027 polls.
“We are submitting this request in line with our plan to present a united front,” the letter read.
This development marks a shift in how opposition forces are organizing ahead of the next election, moving from informal alliances to a legally registered party structure .

Ga Traditional Council Summons KOKA Over Comments About COCOBOD CEO
