Rapper Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest on Sunday, joining Erika Kirk on stage to praise former President Donald Trump and criticize California Governor Gavin Newsom.
During the event, Kirk, CEO of the conservative organization and widow of Charlie Kirk, asked Minaj about the “biggest surprise” she has noticed from the Trump administration. Minaj responded: “I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president. I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope.”
She also took aim at Newsom, reading aloud past posts she had shared on X. Laughing alongside Kirk, Minaj delivered a pointed message to the California governor: “It only gets worse from here for you, buddy. It’s the end of the road for you, my love. Get on the nearest jet ski and let that beautiful hair blow in the wind. It will make you happier than this race that you will not win. Enjoy life. Peace.”

The match, played on 18 January, originally ended in a 1–0 victory for Senegal. However, it was marked by controversy when Senegalese players temporarily refused to continue play after a stoppage-time penalty was awarded to Morocco while the score was still level. After a delay of approximately 17 minutes, the game resumed. Morocco’s penalty, taken by Brahim Díaz, was saved, and Senegal later secured victory through an extra-time goal from Pape Gueye. Following a formal appeal by the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), CAF’s appeal board reviewed the incident and ruled that Senegal’s actions constituted a breach of tournament regulations. As a result, Senegal were deemed to have forfeited the match, which […]

Industry observers say the film’s strong performance reflects a wider resurgence of interest in period dramas, as audiences are once again embracing historical stories across books, television and film . On streaming platforms, shows such as Vikings have shown how history themed content can attract large audiences, and this renewed appetite for the past is also visible in other areas of entertainment and culture . Museums have reported about a 10 percent rise in visitors […]
