Lagos was brought to a standstill last weekend as comedian and entertainer Kennyblaq sold out the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly Onikan Stadium, for the second year in a row with his Reckless Musicomedy Festival. Over 20,000 fans filled the iconic venue, cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading live performers.
From the moment he stepped on stage, Kennyblaq delivered a high energy set that fused comedy, music, sound effects and crowd interaction. The electrifying performance kept the massive audience engaged from start to finish and earned him the label “Greatest Showman” from excited fans.
The festival enjoyed strong support from the comedy community, with Destalker, Josh2Funny, Remote, Ajele, Larry J, SLK, Phronesis, MC Bob, Shortcut and others delivering sets that kept the crowd laughing through the night. Their performances added depth and variety to the show’s comedy lineup.
Music acts also raised the tempo, led by veteran DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJs from the Maze x Mxtreme crew, DJ Smallz and DJ Wayward. Artistes such as Nasboi, Akpororo, Segun Johnson, Bidemi Olaoba, African China and Terry G thrilled the audience with energetic performances.
Hype men including Toby Shang, Do2dtun, Emmyblaq, Voltage of Hype, Whiteman Poco and Slimcase kept the energy levels high throughout the event. Their presence helped sustain the lively atmosphere inside the arena.
The show was sponsored by FirstBank Nigeria, MiniMie, Nestlé Water and Smirnoff Ice, with support from the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency. Production was handled by Unicmade Entertainment in partnership with Mashbox, ensuring a well organised experience for attendees.
With two consecutive sell outs at Onikan, Kennyblaq has set a new benchmark for large scale live entertainment in Lagos. The success of the Reckless Musicomedy Festival has reinforced his status as a major crowd puller and left fans eagerly waiting for his next show.
