Bawumia Reflects on NPP Loss, Vows to Investigate Low Voter Turnout.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has addressed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team following their defeat in the December 7 presidential election. Speaking at his residence, he attributed the loss to low voter turnout among NPP supporters, which he described as a nationwide issue.

Dr. Bawumia revealed that although the campaign efforts showed signs of victory, over two million party supporters stayed away from the polls. He emphasized the need for thorough research to understand the reasons behind the apathy, stating that the party has the tools to investigate at the polling station level.

Despite the setback, he praised the communications team for dominating digital platforms during the campaign. However, he noted challenges in traditional media coverage. As the party transitions into opposition, Dr. Bawumia urged members to remain focused, assuring them of better strategies moving forward.
