Dr. Joyce Emefa Addo-Klah, a Ghanaian doctor, recounted how she saved a passenger’s life during a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Accra on December 11, 2024. Speaking on Joy FM, she described her swift response when a medical emergency arose four hours into the journey.
Traveling with her husband, also a doctor, and their son, Dr. Addo-Klah quickly grabbed her medical equipment and attended to the passenger. Assisted by the KLM crew and their well-equipped emergency kit, she stabilized the patient and monitored their condition in the business class area until landing.
“This isn’t my first in-flight emergency,” she remarked, emphasizing her habit of carrying basic medical tools while traveling. The passenger is now stable, and Dr. Addo-Klah continues to follow up on their recovery.
