The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has refuted recent claims that power plants supplying electricity to the company are scaling down their operations. In an official statement, ECG described these reports as “totally false” and urged Ghanaians to disregard the misinformation.

The company assured the public of its commitment to reliable and stable power supply nationwide, emphasizing its ongoing collaboration with power producers and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to address operational challenges promptly. ECG called for calm and trust in its operations, pledging uninterrupted service to its customers.

This reassurance comes amidst rising concerns about power stability in the country. The ECG has reiterated its dedication to ensuring steady electricity supply while actively resolving any emerging issues.
