Unity Key to NPP Victory in 2024 – Alice Mensah.

Alice Mensah, the Women’s Organizer for the Oti Region of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party supporters to steer clear of politics driven by insults, internal conflicts, and vindictiveness. She emphasized that such behavior undermines the party’s image and could hinder its chances in the 2024 general elections. Instead, Mensah called for unity, mutual respect, and cooperation among members to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Speaking at a campaign event in the Oti Region, Mensah highlighted the importance of rallying behind NPP parliamentary candidates and the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to secure victory. She also encouraged women to seize empowerment opportunities created by the NPP, which she said fosters an inclusive and sustainable environment for growth.

Mensah stressed that “Breaking the 8″—a term used to refer to the NPP’s goal of retaining power beyond two terms—is achievable, but it will require hard work and dedication from party supporters. She advised them to avoid creating divisions within the party, as such actions could cost them the election.

Supporting her call for unity, Deputy National Women’s Organizer, Mimi Duah, praised the Oti women’s wing for their dedication to the party. Duah reiterated that the NPP is the only party with a solid plan for the future of Ghana, and urged all supporters to work toward the goal of victory in the upcoming election.

Oti Regional Minister Daniel Machator echoed these sentiments, citing government policies such as free Senior High School, school feeding programs, and digitalization as examples of the NPP’s achievements. He urged women to share these successes with their families and communities, emphasizing the critical role they play in the party’s campaign.

The event also featured a message from Elizabeth Otuka, a representative from the Vice President’s office, who encouraged the youth to maintain peace and avoid political violence. She reminded Ghanaians that elections come and go, and no life is worth losing over political disagreements.

The campaign event was attended by party members, local chiefs, and national women executives, all rallying behind the NPP’s mission to “Break the 8” in 2024.
