Musician King Promise recently shared that he wasn’t bothered when Stonebwoy didn’t respond to his congratulatory message following the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. King Promise had reached out to celebrate Stonebwoy’s victory, but the dancehall artist’s silence sparked controversy online.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, King Promise explained that he understood Stonebwoy’s oversight, attributing it to the overwhelming number of messages Stonebwoy received. Despite the lack of a response, King Promise expressed his happiness for Stonebwoy’s win, praising his talent and longevity in the industry.
King Promise also emphasized that there are no hard feelings between the two artists. He highlighted their long-standing friendship, mentioning their collaborations on each other’s songs. Reflecting on the unexpected drama that followed the incident, King Promise dismissed the negativity, clarifying that both he and Stonebwoy have no issues with each other. Instead, he believes fans may have exaggerated the situation.
King Promise reiterated that he remains on good terms with Stonebwoy and doesn’t take the situation personally, seeing it as part of the industry’s dynamics.
