Kofi Kinaata Thrilled by Asantehene’s Mention of His Song.

Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter Kofi Kinaata is elated after his song “Susuka” was mentioned by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. During a banquet for the Ghana Bar Association in Kumasi, Otumfuo highlighted Kinaata’s song to underscore Ghana’s enviable democracy and judiciary, despite its challenges.

The King referenced Kinaata’s song “Obi Nya Waye” to illustrate how many countries look up to Ghana and aspire to emulate its progress.

Reacting to the mention, Kofi Kinaata took to social media to express his gratitude. In a video, he shared his excitement about being featured in the King’s speech. Another video showed him watching the speech on a laptop and humorously noting his shift from writing music to watching speeches.
