Over a month after the release of his “BAR 7” album, rapper EL has announced the highly anticipated return of his BAR concert in Accra. The BAR series, which began in 2014, originally featured top artists like Sarkodie, M.anifest, and members of his Skillions crew, including Joey B, C-Real, and Shaker. The project, along with its annual concert, sparked a hip-hop movement that helped launch the careers of several emerging rap stars.
The BAR concert has since evolved into a celebration of EL’s body of work and Ghanaian hip-hop, showcasing rising talents such as Lyrical Joe and AraTheJay. This year marks the seventh edition of the event, which is set to take place at Alliance Française in Accra on October 11. While EL has yet to reveal the full lineup of performers, fans can expect another exciting showcase of local hip-hop talent.
