Ghana’s Black Stars have moved up one spot to 76th in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola World Rankings, following an impressive series of victories during the March international break. The team delivered standout performances in their World Cup qualifiers, defeating Chad and Madagascar with a total of eight goals and two clean sheets, which helped boost their global ranking and solidify their position at the top of Group I.
While Ghana holds the 14th position on the African continent, the team continues to face tough competition, with Morocco leading Africa at 12th globally, followed by Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Ivory Coast. On the global stage, Argentina maintains its position at number one, with Spain moving up to second, and France, England, and Brazil rounding out the top five.
The Black Stars are set to return to action in June for the Unity Cup, a tournament that will serve as preparation for the continuation of World Cup qualifiers in September. With their recent strong form, Ghana fans are hopeful that the team will continue to progress and secure a spot in the upcoming World Cup.
