The Premier League has announced a new partnership with PUMA, making the sportswear giant the official ball supplier for the English top-flight starting from the 2025-26 season. This marks the end of a 25-year collaboration with Nike, as the American company failed to reach a new deal after negotiations broke down.
PUMA, which already has a presence in the Premier League through partnerships with clubs like Manchester City and several sponsored players, will now supply the league’s official match balls. This agreement also expands PUMA’s presence in European football, as the company already serves as the ball supplier for La Liga and Serie A.
Richard Masters, Chief Executive of the Premier League, expressed excitement over the deal, highlighting PUMA’s long history in football and its global reach. He emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the Premier League’s values and will drive forward initiatives in communities while inspiring fans worldwide.
For PUMA, the deal is a significant step in its brand elevation strategy, with CEO Arne Freundt noting that this partnership will bring their performance technology to the forefront of the game. The 2025-26 season will be the first time since 2000 that the Premier League will not feature a Nike ball, marking a major change for the league and its fans.
This shift also positions PUMA alongside other top European leagues, continuing its growing influence in the football world.
