A 24-year-old mobile money vendor, known only as ‘Junior,’ has been brutally murdered in his one-room apartment at Kwadaso, Ashanti Region. The assailants, whose identities remain unknown, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Junior, who operated at the Kwadaso Onion Market, was discovered in a pool of blood. Witnesses suggest he often carried large sums of money home, which may have made him a target for robbers.
The police have launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made. This incident follows a similar attack last month, where 27-year-old Patricia Nimako was shot dead in Kumasi by robbers who took GH₵10,000 and mobile phones.
Concerned residents of Kwadaso are calling on authorities to enhance security in the area, fearing more attacks.
