Roc Nation Sports, the agency owned by American rap icon Jay-Z, is set to open an office in Ghana as part of its expansion into Africa. The move aims to nurture and support African sports talents, ensuring they receive the right opportunities on the global stage.
Nathan Campbell, Roc Nation’s Global Director of Football Recruitment, revealed the plans while in Cape Town, South Africa. He emphasized the agency’s commitment to a non-transactional approach, aiming to uplift communities while developing talent.
Ghana, known for its sports legacy, has been chosen as a strategic hub for West Africa. The agency, which manages top athletes like Vinicius Jr. and Romelu Lukaku, intends to create meaningful partnerships across the continent. Jay-Z himself has shown deep involvement in sports, recently attending a UEFA Champions League final to support Vinicius Jr.
With this expansion, Roc Nation Sports is set to reshape Africa’s sports management landscape, providing aspiring athletes with global exposure and career-enhancing opportunities.
