he Goaso Traditional Council has imposed a ban on Valentine’s Day celebrations in the Goaso traditional area, citing respect for the one-week funeral rites of the late Paramount Chief, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah. The announcement was made during a press conference by the elders, who emphasized that any public display of Valentine’s Day activities will not be tolerated.
Although the council has not outlawed the celebration entirely, it warned that decorations, public parties, and any visible festivities will be prohibited on February 14, 2025.
