The Twifo Praso Police are searching for two young girls, aged eight and 15, who stole GH¢41,000 and gold from a local gold buyer’s shop in the Twifo-Atti Morkwa District, Central Region.
The girls, who were strangers to the community, visited the shop on Wednesday and requested assistance to purchase gold. While the shop owner, Mr. Enoch Boateng, was distracted, the girls seized the opportunity to take the money and gold before fleeing.
It wasn’t until hours later that the theft was discovered. The shop owner is devastated, having lost his capital, and has urged the police to take swift action in locating the thieves.
A police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
