Maame Efua Houadjeto Appointed CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority.

Maame Efua Houadjeto has been named the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), taking over from Akwasi Agyeman who resigned recently.

Houadjeto, a former Deputy Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its Parliamentary Candidate for the Mfantsiman Constituency in the 2024 elections, will now lead the GTA in its mission to make Ghana a preferred sustainable tourism destination. The authority focuses on promoting tourism through technology, effective regulation, and building strong partnerships across public and private sectors.

As CEO, Houadjeto will work on initiatives that enhance the development of the tourism sector, improve service standards, and promote investment in the industry.
