Nogokpo Shrine to Unmask Killers of Anloga Chopbar Operator.

The family of Dorcas Korkor Tetteh, a 60-year-old chopbar operator brutally murdered in Anloga, Volta Region, has turned to the Nogokpo Yewe Shrine for spiritual intervention after police investigations yielded no results. With permission from the Dufia of Anloga, Togbi Zewu IV, the family plans to beat the gong-gong to announce their intention to seek justice through the shrine’s spiritual process.

The Nogokpo shrine, known for its powerful deity Togbi Zakadza, will initiate rituals to compel the perpetrators to confess or face severe repercussions. Togbi Zakadza is revered for resolving crimes and punishing offenders. If the guilty fail to confess after initial rituals, a second gong-gong announcement will follow, and the deity’s wrath will reportedly descend on the perpetrators and their extended families.

The Awadada of Anlo, Togbi Agbesi Awusu II, supports the shrine’s involvement, emphasizing that traditional and spiritual practices often complement modern investigations. The community is encouraged to cooperate with the authorities and traditional leaders to ensure justice for Dorcas, who was murdered during a suspected robbery in December 2024.
