Keta Youth Deny Links to MCE Building Demolition Incident.

The Keta Youth Association (KeYA) has firmly denied allegations that local youth were involved in the demolition of an uncompleted building owned by the Keta Municipal Chief Executive, Emmanuel Gemegah. KeYA clarified that the December 29, 2024, incident, which affected about 20 structures, was carried out by external individuals disputing land ownership.

KeYA emphasized their role in halting further destruction by apprehending a machine operator and the operation leader, who were handed over to the police. They condemned false reports implicating the youth and called for accurate media reporting.

The association reaffirmed their commitment to peace, justice, and Ghana’s legal processes in addressing land disputes, urging calm among residents.
