Assin Juaben Residents Rally to Save Schoolchildren from Deadly Road Risks.

Residents of Assin Juaben in the Central Region are stepping up to construct a six-unit classroom block to protect children from fatal accidents. Currently, students must walk long distances along a busy and hazardous road to attend school in the nearby community of Odumase. Tragically, three children have died in recent years after being struck by vehicles.

Determined to prevent further loss of life, the community, led by its chief and elders, raised funds during a homecoming event to kickstart the project. The initiative aims to bring education closer to home and eliminate the daily dangers children face.

The community still needs GH₵500,000 to complete the school. Local leaders have called for public support, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping the future of their children.
