As Ghana prepares for the inauguration of President John Mahama on January 7, 2025, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has initiated a large-scale cleanup and beautification exercise in Accra. Over 500 workers have been deployed to spruce up key ceremonial areas, including the Black Star Square and surrounding streets.
The activities include painting pavements, adorning traffic lights and trees with Ghana’s national colors, clearing drains, sweeping streets, and maintaining road medians. This initiative is part of Zoomlion’s corporate social responsibility efforts to promote cleanliness and enhance the capital’s aesthetics for the historic event.
President Mahama’s return to power, following his victory in the 2024 presidential election with 56.55% of votes, has sparked optimism. His administration is expected to prioritize economic reforms, tackle unemployment, and implement his “24-hour economy” policy to boost growth and job creation.
Ghanaians are eager to witness the inaugural ceremony and the positive transformations his leadership promises.
