Ignore misinformation on ammunition transport – Ghana Armed Forces

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has dismissed allegations circulating on social media about a civilian vehicle being used to transport ammunition from the 5 Battalion of Infantry’s Magazine. According to a statement signed by Brigadier General Eric Aggrey Quashie on December 25, 2024, the claims are false.

The GAF clarified that the vehicle in question was not used for ammunition but to deliver a live cow intended for quarantine before being relocated to a kraal near the Magazine. They urged the public to verify facts before sharing information that could incite fear and disrupt national peace, especially during the festive season.

The statement emphasized the dangers of spreading unverified information, highlighting its potential to cause unnecessary panic and tension.
