‘Delta is in very good hands’ — Obi Cubana hails Oborevwori

Business mogul and Cubana Group Chairman, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), has praised Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, describing him as a God fearing, people focused and development driven leader, and declaring that “Delta is in very good hands.” He spoke at Government House, Asaba, during a courtesy visit alongside Pastor Jerry Eze, who was in the state to dedicate the Cubana Millennium City project.

Obi Cubana commended the governor’s openness and accessibility, thanking him for “access always” and promising to “bring magic to Delta State” through strategic private investments. He expressed confidence in the administration’s MORE Agenda, saying Delta is blessed to have a development oriented governor at the helm.

Speaking on the Cubana Millennium City (CMC) Asaba project, he described it as a landmark, mixed use development and “the Jewel on the Niger.” He reaffirmed that the first phase of the estate will be ready for occupation by December 2026, assuring prospective homeowners and investors of timely delivery.

The visit underscored growing collaboration between the Delta State Government and private sector players to fast track urban development and economic growth. According to Cubana Group, the CMC Asaba project is expected to further enhance Asaba’s status as a fast growing urban and investment hub, in line with Oborevwori’s push for improved quality of life for Deltans.
