Lagos-based influencer David Obadiah, popularly known as Baddy of Lagos, has shared an emotional update on his recovery, taking his first steps with a straightened leg after undergoing orthopaedic surgery in Egypt. The procedure was funded through a crowdfunding campaign launched by fellow influencer Wizarab, after Baddy appealed for help to correct a congenital condition that left his legs bowed.
Doctors opted to operate on one leg at a time because of the intensity of the surgery and the demanding recovery process. In a post on his X page, Baddy shared a photo of himself walking with a crutch and thanked supporters, writing that he must fully heal from his right leg before returning to Egypt to fix the left one.
He told fans that their generosity had given him a new chance at walking confidently, promising to document the rest of his healing journey. Many followers have flooded his timeline with prayers and messages of encouragement as he continues rehabilitation.
