Coup de tonnerre dans le football togolais : l’ASCK (Association Sportive des Conducteurs de la Kozah), fraîchement sacrée championne du Togo pour la saison 2024-2025, renonce à participer à la prochaine Ligue des Champions de la CAF.
L’information a été confirmée ce lundi par la direction du club, évoquant des contraintes financières insurmontables.
“Nous n’avons aucun sponsor ni partenaire. Le seul soutien que nous recevons provient de notre président, qui se bat seul pour maintenir le club à flot”, a déclaré Jean-Marie Eloh, directeur général de l’ASCK.
💸 Une réalité budgétaire implacable
Malgré un titre brillamment décroché, le club basé à Kara doit renoncer à son rêve africain, faute de moyens. Cette décision illustre les difficultés économiques profondes qui plombent les clubs africains, même les plus performants sur la scène nationale.
Participer à la Ligue des Champions de la CAF implique des coûts élevés :
- Déplacements internationaux
- Hébergements
- Logistique et primes
- Frais de licence CAF
Sans partenaires solides, le défi est tout simplement hors de portée.
🔁 Quelle suite pour le représentant togolais ?
Selon les règlements de la CAF, la place libérée pourrait être attribuée au vice-champion ou au troisième du championnat, selon les modalités définies par la Fédération Togolaise de Football (FTF).
Mais cette redistribution ne résout pas la problématique de fond : le manque chronique d’investissement structurel dans le football togolais.
🏟️ Un appel à l’action pour sauver l’élite sportive
Ce retrait de l’ASCK sonne comme un signal d’alarme. Sans financements pérennes, sans accompagnement stratégique de la part des autorités et du secteur privé, les clubs togolais resteront prisonniers de leurs frontières.
L’absence de l’ASCK prive non seulement ses joueurs d’une vitrine continentale, mais aussi le Togo d’une visibilité cruciale sur la scène africaine.

Togo : améliorer la traçabilité pour conquérir les marchés
Le manque de traçabilité des produits agroalimentaires togolais freine leur accès aux marchés internationaux.
