Raphael Onyedika, the Super Eagles midfielder currently starring for Club Brugge, has made a strategic career move by switching his agency representation ahead of a potential high-profile summer transfer. The 23-year-old Nigerian international has signed with CAA Stellar, one of Europe’s most prestigious sports agencies, signaling his intent to join one of the continent’s elite clubs.
Onyedika’s impressive performances in both the Belgian Pro League and the UEFA Champions League have caught the attention of top teams, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and Borussia Dortmund. His market value is now estimated at over €20 million on Transfermarkt, though Club Brugge is likely to demand a higher fee given the rising interest.
The midfielder joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in 2022 for €10 million and has since established himself as a key player. His standout moments include a stunning goal against Manchester City in the Champions League, further cementing his reputation on the European stage.
Last summer, Galatasaray showed interest but were unable to meet Brugge’s valuation. This time, however, the circumstances are different, with multiple top clubs circling. Club Brugge, aware of the inevitable, are already planning for life after Onyedika. Reports suggest they are pushing to retain Ardon Jashari for another year while targeting Ludovit Reis as a long-term replacement.
Despite the mounting speculation, Onyedika remains publicly focused on his current commitments. Speaking earlier this year, he told Sportsboom : “I don’t know what the future holds. At the moment, I am very happy at Club Brugge. I am focused on doing my best and helping the team.”
He added: “At the moment, I am fully committed to the present, and I have no further plans.”
Onyedika played a pivotal role in helping Club Brugge win the Belgian league title last season and continues to be instrumental in their quest to retain the crown. On the international stage, he earned his first cap for Nigeria and scored his maiden Super Eagles goal against Benin Republic during the World Cup qualifiers last year.
With his new representation and growing list of suitors, Onyedika appears poised for a significant career leap. Whether it’s Bayern Munich, Manchester City, or AC Milan, the young midfielder’s next move could mark the beginning of a new chapter in European football.
