Ghanaian musician Mzbel has expressed disappointment over being left out of government appointments despite her strong support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She revealed that while some of her colleagues in the creative industry have received roles, she hasn’t even been contacted.
Although she insists she would decline any political appointment to maintain her peace of mind, she believes a simple offer would have shown appreciation for her dedication. Mzbel recalled how she endured insults, threats, and backlash for backing the NDC, only to feel ignored now that the party is in power.
She also mentioned that members of her Celebrities for Mahama group are pressuring her to secure jobs for them. However, she finds herself in a tough spot, as many influential party figures she once had access to no longer respond to her calls or appear in familiar spaces.
